Apart from swimming in fantastic beaches, Naxos is also famous as a great island to practice various sports. Due to the strong summer winds, the most popular sports in Naxos are windsurfing and kitesurfing. Mikri Vigla, Laguna, Agios Prokopios and Plaka are the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots on the island.

This is where visitors will find many clubs that offer courses for these two sports and rent the proper equipment. In Naxos people can also practice many other sports, such as trekking, horse riding and scuba diving. Many beaches are also organized with watersports so that visitors of all ages can enjoy a fun day at the beach.
