Due to the strong summer winds, the most popular sports in Naxos are windsurfing and kitesurfing. Mikri Vigla, Laguna, Agios Prokopios and Plaka are the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots on the island.

In Naxos people can also practice many other sports, such as trekking, horse riding and scuba diving.
